■ Gods from all over Japan gather at Izumo Taisha Shrine for only 8 days
～Izumo Taisha Shrine Festival～ This is an ancient festival held every year in the tenth month of the lunar calendar, when all the gods of Japan gather at Izumo Taisha Shrine. On the night of the tenth day of the tenth month of the lunar calendar, the eight million gods arrive in Izumo and stay there for a week to hold a council. Then, on the 17th day of the tenth month of the lunar calendar, they depart from Izumo Taisha Shrine, and for those eight days, which is considered the period of the gods' presence, a great many people visit the shrine.
~The giant sacred ropes of the National Treasure main shrine and Kagura hall~ The main hall, a national treasure dedicated to Ōkuninushi-no-Mikoto, is 24 meters tall. The large sacred rope at the main shrine weighs approximately 5.2 tons! The large sacred rope at the Kagura Hall is famous for its length and thickness.
*Depending on the congestion at the Izumo Taisha Shrine parking lot, you may need to walk for approximately 15-30 minutes. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes.
■For lunch, we will provide the "A5 Rank Chiyagyu Sukiyaki Set Meal". ◇What is Chiyagyu beef? Raised and fattened in a clean, natural environment with clean water and air, this beef comes from a single, consistent fattening process. As a result, the number of fattened cattle is small, making it a rare and highly prized product that is not distributed nationwide and therefore not well-known. Even in its home prefecture of Okayama, it can only be enjoyed at a limited number of local shops.
